Loan Decline Letter #1

(Credit Union) wants to help you achieve your financial goals, whether that means getting out of debt, sending the kids to college, buying your first home, or retiring. We’ve established a partnership to make sure you have access to comprehensive, confidential financial education and counseling.

Through BALANCE, members will receive free, unbiased information and assistance. To use the services, simply call, toll-free, 888-456-2227, or log on to www.balancepro.net. Counselors are available Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. (PST), Friday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In many cases BALANCE counselors can answer your questions immediately. If you’re wondering how long something stays on your credit report or whether it’s better to lease or buy a car, you’ll get the answers as soon as you call. For more complex issues, like debt or money management, an appointment will be scheduled — allowing enough time to go over your budget and discuss options.

If bill payments are an issue, simply reworking your current budget may not be enough to help you get back on track. Your counselor may be able to arrange a Debt Management Plan and negotiate with creditors to reduce payments, interest charges and fees as you work toward repaying your debt. This service, normally $35 per month, is free to all (Credit Union) members.

Personal finance affects all of us, every day. Fortunately, everyone can achieve financial fitness with determination and a little professional guidance. Through this member benefit, (Credit Union) can help you master your money.

Loan Decline Letter #2

Our credit union has partnered with a financial fitness program called BALANCE. Counselors at BALANCE are available for help with credit report and money management questions.

Credit Report Review
A BALANCE counselor will review your credit report with you, making sure you know your rights. They can even provide a low-cost credit report for you.

In a Credit Report Review session, a counselor will help you understand the information included in your credit report, explain how your score is determined, and provide guidance on dealing with any inaccuracies on your report. Together, you will develop a plan of action to improve and protect your credit standing.

InfoLine
Professional financial advice and information is available Monday through Thursday 5am–8pm, Friday 5am–5pm and Saturday 8am–5pm (PST).

Money Management Counseling
Certified financial counselors help you develop both short and long term financial strategies to overcome challenges and meet your goals.
