PRESS RELEASE UPDATE Digital Federal Credit Union Annual Business Partnership Awards Marlborough, Massachusetts - Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU) presented their annual Business Partnership Award to ten businesses that provide outstanding service to the credit union and its membership at DCU's Employee Appreciation Dinner held on January 19, 2003. The companies receiving the awards were BALANCE, Caras Marketing and Training, Certegy, EasCorp, Lending Solutions, Inc., NES Group, P & M Graphic Associates, Member Data Services, Attorney Scott King, and Wellness Connection. DCU recognizes the important role that its vendors play in helping the Credit Union achieve its mission and vision. " Our vendors are part of our winning team. Without their exceptional service," says Tom Ryan, Senior VP/COO, " DCU would not be able to deliver the quality products and services that our members need to achieve financial well-being." EasCorp is DCU's corporate credit union, providing investment, check processing, check imaging, and other services. Over the past several years, EasCorp has provided DCU with excellent service, a friendly and efficient staff, and the ability to understand member needs, and deliver products that meet those needs. They recognize that organizations have a social mission as well as a business mission, and enjoy a great partnership with DCU in several charitable activities. Certegy, Inc., is DCU's Visa processor, and has worked diligently with DCU throughout 2002, to improve services to DCU's cardholders. They understood our member's needs and implemented many of our member's suggestions. Their proactive approach and ability to meet our member's needs places them as recipients of our award. Caras Marketing and Training provides DCU with customized training for our phone member contact staff. Ronna Caras has taken a great deal of initiative in understanding our business, our member's needs, and our goals. With this she has recommended course ideas and materials to help us in our member service environment. Lending Solutions, Inc., has originated DCU loan applications over the phone since 1998, and in 2001 began processing web loan applications. LSI provides exceptional service to DCU and its members and is responsive to their needs. They have also been very supportive of DCU's charitable efforts. NES Group undertook the task of completing the design and renovation of DCU's new Marlborough headquarters facility in a very short timeframe. Their commitment to providing quality service and responding to the credit union's needs was evident throughout the entire project. In addition, NES group has worked with DCU on many other projects, including the new Hudson, NH branch that was constructed and opened in 2001, and Acton, MA branch opened in 2002. P & M Graphic Associates has provided quality printing and mailing service to the credit union for a number of years. John DeCristoforo, and his staff, are easy to work with, turn work around quickly, meet deadlines, and stand behind their work. They are enthusiastic supporters of DCU's charitable efforts and have helped greatly in the redesign and printing of DCU's brochures. Wellness Connection has provided DCU with a knowledgeable fitness staff, and a variety of programs that have helped to motivate our employees to meet their fitness goals. Kelly Carbone, the manager of our DCU Wellness Center, has worked very hard in her roll and has exceeded our expectations in her initiative to support DCU employees. Attorney Scott King handles the closings for most of the Massachusetts real estate loans DCU writes. He knows how highly DCU values service to the membership and he builds trust by delivering extraordinary, customized service. He is a helpful resource to the mortgage department and a regular participant in DCU's mortgage seminars. King also conducts workshops for the DCU staff on legal issues pertaining to mortgages. Member Data Systems is the provider of DCU's core data processing system, software and support. Their system allows DCU to accurately maintain all member financial information. Their innovative and reliable software has lead DCU as an innovative Credit Union capable of rapid delivery of new products and services whenever/wherever needed. They have also been very supportive of DCU's charitable efforts. Balance became part of DCU's Wellness Program in 2002. They provide an extensive range of financial counseling services and education programs. As part of a broad goal in enabling us to assist all of our members achieve financial will-being, their basic financial tools are beneficial to all members. DCU is a not-for-profit, full-service financial cooperative owned by and operated for its more than 180,000 members. It provides a full range of checking, savings, credit card, consumer loan, mortgage, and investment services to its members. It is a national leader in electronic account access.
